ABSTRACT

“A container made from these shapes is a puzzle to construct, much less to weld. To weld the seams together, a friend laid on top of the form while I clamped the angles to keep their shape. Each piece was determined to resist my control by warping from the heat of the welder. I won.

The form is mysterious, its meaning arcane. It looks different from every angle.  Starting from geometric shapes, it morphs into something more organic. While it leans, we expect it to topple.  Are you able to look at it without looking inside it?  What do you expect to see, a secret of some kind, struggling to emerge?  If you speak into it, your message will echo.  Hidden meanings are there to be discovered.”
